Roulette systems

Published at 18. 9. 2013 in category Main

The roulette is always given as an example for a game where is impossible to achieve a priority over casino. Any bet or combination of bets has negative mathematical expectations for the player. Nevertheless, every generation of players try to invent its own mathematical or statistical system that will allow to achieve positive results i.e. to win. Of course, nobody can forbid you that. Please, try, be my guest!
Since we don’t want you to discover America again, we’ll introduce you the most popular systems used by players for years. One of these popular systems and probably the oldest one is the so called Martingale system. It says that after every loss, the player should double his bet until he wins. After every win, he should come back to his original bet. This system is used usually in even money bets – black/red; high/low; odd/even. Although the system has a lot of disadvantages, it is the most popular system used by players even now. Another popular system is d’Alembert system. The main idea of the system is that after very loss a player should bet more than he lost.  Applying this system to even money bets, you should increase your bet after every loss and decrease your bet after winning. The main disadvantage of this system is that there is a possibility for a player to have series of losses which will lead to losing his money or reaching the table limit. The same disadvantage as in Martingale system.

Roulette strategy

As we can see, there is no such thing as a mathematical system that will allow you to win a lot in roulette. This is a game of chance and luck. Even the theory of probability is not going to help you. Do not believe people who say that they have found a way to win. They are either crooks, either crazy or crazy crooks. I believe, Albert Einstein said once that the only way to win in roulette is to steal money from the table. The only thing we can do is to use the theory of probability and find out the mathematical expectation i.e. the house edge. The only successful system which allows you to make money from roulette was invented in the 19th century and it is used till now. This system is very simple – open a casino and you are going to make money. So, if there is no system, what can we offer the players? In the first place, luck. But there are also several rules that if followed, can increase your winning chances. They say – Play European roulette! In American roulette the house edge is 5,26% but in European – 2,63%. That is why the American roulette is not that popular. Do not bet on five numbers! The mathematicam expectation here is 7,89%. Find a roulette with En prison and Surrender(La partage) rules. You should also use the money management. Many players risk more than they can afford. I don’t know why they are doing that. It is not very smart, is it? This ia why before starting to play, you better decide what amount of money you are ready to lose. It would be also wise if you decide what amount of money you are ready to win after which you are going to stop playing. If you follow the afore mentioned very simple rules, you will increase your winning chances. In every system it is about discipline. If you cannot maintain your discipline, you better don’t start playing. These are the most useful rules to follow. But remember: Never underestimate the Luck! This is the main and most important factor in gambling.

The En Prison rule

Published at 27. 10. 2012 in category Main

This rule concerns the even money bets such as  black/red; high/low; odd/even i.e. if the ball lands on zero, the bet stays in prison till the next roulette spin. If the ball lands on zero again, the bet is lost; if it is a hit, the bet is released but without profit.

La Partage rule

This rule is like the Surrender rule – if the balls lands on zero, you lose the half of your the even money bets such as black/red; high/low; odd/even.

The European roulette table layout and betting

Published at 20. 7. 2012 in category Main

The object of the European roulette is also to guess on which number the ball is going to land. Players are allowed to bet on:
-    a single number;
-    combination of numbers;
-    red or black colour; odd or even number.

Like in the American roulette, the table layout has short lines of three numbers called rows and long lines of 12 numbers called columns. The bets are two types – inside and outside bets. The bets made on the numbered space and the lines between the numbers are called inside bets. The bets made on the boxes below and the centre of the board are called outside bets. The inside bets are as follows:
-    straight up bet – the chip is placed directly on a single number. You can place it even on zero;
-    split bet – the chip is placed on the line between two numbers. If the ball lands on any of them, you win;
-    street bet – the chip is placed on the line separating the inside and outside betting area at the end of a row. This bet covers an entire row. If the ball lands on any of these three numbers, you win;
-    corner bet – the chip  is placed at the intersection of the lines between four numbers. If the ball lands on any of these four numbers, you win;
-    five number bet -  this bet can include only numbers zero, double zero, one. Two and three;
-    line bet – the chip  is placed at the end of the line between two rows and covers six numbers. If the ball lands on any of these six numbers, you win.

Call bets

Published at 17. 4. 2012 in category Main

The numbers are arranged in three sections that allow players of European and French roulette to Announce i.e. call bets.  These sections are as follows:
-    Voisins du Zero (Zero neighbours bet)– includes numbers: 22,18, 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32, 15, 19, 4, 21, 2, 25;
-    Tier du Cylinder (The third section of the wheel) – includes numbers: 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24, 16, 33;
-    Orphans and Orphelins – includes numbers: 17, 34, 6, 1, 20, 14, 31, 9.

If the player wants to bet on Voisins du Zero, he gives nine bet units to the dealer. The units are placed as follows: two bet units on “street” 0-2-3, two bet units on “carre” 25-29 and one bet unit on each pair “cheval” 4/7, 12/15, 18/21, 19/22, 32/35. if the player wants to bet on Tier du Cylinder, he covers the numbers 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24, 16, 33 with six bet units and each cheval 5/8, 10/11, 13/16, 23/24, 27/30, 33/36. with one bet unit. In Zero Spiel the player covers the numbers 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32, 15 with four bet units. If the player wants to bet on Orphans and Orphelins, he gives the dealer five bet units. This bet covers the numbers 17, 34, 6, 1, 20, 14, 31, 9. The bet units are palced as follows: one straight on number 1 and one unit on each cheval 6/9, 14/17, 17/ 20, 31/34. Number 17 is covered two times – in 14/17 and 17/20.

Another bet is on a number and its neighbours -  Voisin du Nombre. This bet is covered with five bet units. The units are to be placed on a number and its four neighbour numbers (the one on left, the one on right, the one above and the one below). For exmple, if you want to bet on number 20 and its four neighbour numbers, you place your bet on 20 and 17, 19, 21, 23.  another bet is the so called final bet or Last number bet. For example, final 7 means that you bet on all numbers with last number 7 i.e. 7, 17, 27, 37.

The Surrender rule

Published at 27. 1. 2012 in category Main

In some casinos the player is allowed to surrender i.e. if the ball lands on zero or double zero, the player does not lose all but only the half of his even money bets ( black/red; high/low; odd/even) .

The European roulette wheel

There are 37 numbers on the European roulette wheel – 0 and numbers from 1 to 36 including 1 and 36. Like in the American  roulette wheel, the sequence of the numbers is not random:
-    the red and black numbers alternate;
-    in the section right of the zero (numbers from 32 to 10) there are nine low black numbers (2,4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17) and nine high red numbers (19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 34, 36);
-    In the section left of the zero (numbers from 26 to 5) there are nine high black numbers (20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, 35) and nine low red numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18).

The outside bets are as follows:

Published at 21. 9. 2011 in category Main

-    column bet – the chip is placed at the end of a column in one of the boxes “2 to 1”. It covers the whole column. If the ball lands on any of these 12 numbers, you win;
-    dozen bet – the chip  is placed in one of the boxes as follows: 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12 and covers 12 numbers. If the ball lands on any of these 12 numbers, you win;
-    red or black – the chip is placed on “red” or “black” outside field (below 2nd 12). It covers all red or all black numbers;
-    even or odd – the chip is placed on “even” or “odd” outside field. It covers all even or all odd numbers;
-    low or high – the chip is placed on 1 to 18 (low) or 19 to 36 (high) outside field. It covers 18 numbers.
