Although the system has a lot of disadvantages, it is the most popular system used by players even now. Another popular system is d’Alembert system. The main idea of the system is that after very loss a player should bet more than he lost. Applying this system to even money bets, you should increase your bet after every loss and decrease your bet after winning. The main disadvantage of this system is that there is a possibility for a player to have series of losses which will lead to losing his money or reaching the table limit. The same disadvantage as in Martingale system.
